Goal Commitment

We all know this time of year brings on new goals. Don’t let INTEREST stop you from achieving them. Get COMMITTED!

We know as the new year comes around, people start making resolutions or new goals to achieve.

Sadly 80% fail to follow through.

The gym swarms with new clients and within a months time, life is back to normal and there is no more waiting for that next machine.

Don’t let that be you. Don’t be a part of that statistic.

If you are interested in losing weight or building muscle you have already failed.

Its time to get committed.

I’ll explain why.

Interest Kills Action

When it comes to fitness goals, it is so easy to say, “I need to lose weight.” Or, “I really should start working out again.”

These statements however have no action behind them.

They are good ideas but merely just that, an idea.

We can easily have an interest in so many things in life. How often do we actually follow through with most interest though?

Going to gym takes motivation. It’s not fun and it’s not comfortable to workout.

When you have an interest in exercise, that motivation is inconsistent and un-reliable.

Once soreness kicks in and the lack of planning develops, the “I should workout”, becomes, “meh I don’t feel like it today.”

With interest excuses are allowed to slow you down.

Committed Goals Bring Success

If you want to be successful, you need to commit to your goals.

Go into it knowing exactly what you want to accomplish and how you are going to do so.

Goal commitment also requires self-discipline.

When obstacles shows up, or getting tired creeps in, if you are committed to your goal, you will take action to prevail.

You need to identify what your goals are, how you will accomplish them, and pre-plan for ways to not fall off track.

Making a plan and committing to it is the one key thing often missing. This is why interest fails. There is nothing real behind it.

When you commit to something, you don’t allow excuses to get in the way.
